Double Denim

I have good news, my hair is fixed *fist pumps the air* I am now sporting an ash blonde bob, actually verging on the edge of grey which I love, thank god.  My hair may be fixed but my throat is not, I am battling some sort of cold which has left me with a very seductive, husky voice, not going to lie I quite like it.  Another change this week is that I am now the proud owner of glasses, yes I am now officially part of the spec club.  For years I wanted glasses and never needed them but with long days being spent in front of the screen my eyes have decided they finally need a bit of extra help.
I feel like a new women this week, new hair, new voice and new glasses!

Anyway moving onto my outfit, this was a look I wore to work yesterday, quite a lazy look as this week outfit ideas haven't been at the forefront of my mind.  Having unintentional yellow and orange hair sort of distracted me from my favourite thing, outfit planning! Anyway my beanie love still continues hence the recent purchase of this rather funky bobble hat and I love the flash of colour with the double denim combo.

How do you guys style double denim?

Wednesday Wants - Stripes

This post comes to you from a very frantic Abbie the reason being is that I stupidly dyed my hair blonde at home, how many times do I have to go through this.  I know its never a good idea yet I do it anyway and then lo and behold I end up sporting a rather sexy orange barnet and staying up late praying that toner is the answer. Who knows what it's going to look like in my next outfit post, I'll warn you now, sunglasses maybe be needed for viewing purposes.

The only sensible thing that has happened regarding my hair is that I did treat myself to a rather fab cut by Toni & Guy, a whole 6 inches off, I feel quite grown up actually, oh except for the fact that I have orange hair.

Anyway, I have tried to cast aside my hair woes and look forward to the new season, my fixation begins with one of the prints of the season, stripes.  I swear, never throw away stripes. This must be every fashionistas rule because come Spring/Summer there they are again, all be it there's a new way of clashing them, a new colour palette or be them narrow or wide they are always there.  Spring is forever rocking some sort of nautical vibe.

I wanted my Weekly wishlist to be based around this classic print so I have scoured the Internet for some of my favourite takes on stripes and have found that the likes of EspritRiver Island and Karen Millen have outfits for all occasions in all stripe shapes and sizes...

Saturday #OOTD - F&F

Hello lovely people, how are you all on this chilled Sunday?
I am currently writing this whilst watching Notting Hill (hellooo Hugh Grant) the perfect Sunday don't you think.

Yesterday was spent mooching around Dalston with my housemate, we hit up the charity shops and made a beeline for the pub enjoying a liquid lunch and then, in amongst all the fun we took these photo's (my housemate was hiding some photography skills it seems!).
I am again wearing my Superstars in this outfit, they haven't left my feet since I bought them  and they go perfectly with my new shirt dress from F&F and of course a classic camel coat.

Lace Midi

Well look at me, flashing a little bit of flesh, this lace midi dress was a steal a few months back on the ASOS sale – something silly like £10.  I literally love it, casual over jeans but dressy as its sheer and a little revealing.
The colour was an usual choice as I don’t really tend to wear a lot of brown, well except for my camel coat but that’s a whole different shade, I liked that I didn’t have anything similar in my wardrobe and obviously being a ridiculous price I had to get it!
Another room shot, again any feedback on the mix up of location would be greatly appreciated, it’s not my favourite as I prefer the street style look of a road or good brick wall shot but it’s a great stand in for these dark evenings so I’ll probably stick with it until the evenings lighten a little.

Wednesday Wants - London Fashion Week Inspo

LFW is looming and fashionistas are prepping, priming and outfit planning in the bid to look best in show when tottering around on those fashionable cobbles.  For me LFW is a buzz as street style spotting and people watching is one of my all time favourite things to do, pop me outside the cafĂ© with a mint tea, my camera and some of my blogging babes and I am one happy lady, hopefully I will get to watch some fabulous shows
to – literally so excited!

I am of course thinking the same question as everyone else…what am I going to wear?  So with this tough/impossible task on my hands I thought well this calls for a wishlist.  Here’s a selection of looks I am loving so far this season, just to get those creative juices flowing and most importantly because its payday on Friday so basically I best buy now!

I don’t know what look I am aiming for yet, but wide stripes, hats, coats and a sensible shoe are what I am starting out with – Pinterest is my go to for inspo at the moment, currently pinning my life away in the bid for the perfect statement outfit.

Hope you all have had a good week so far?  I was a little hung-over at work today and with a super busy schedule I was regretting mixing wine and beer, oh well it was a good night so who cares, I made it through the day with the help of my trusty hangover cure – Macdonalds!

See you all in my next post!

Monday Musing - Beanies

I spent the weekend just gone back home in Southampton visiting friends and fam and every time I go back I always find some item of clothing I have left behind, this time it was my beloved red beanie.  How did I forget to take that to London with me and go the whole Winter without it?  Who knows but I wore it all weekend, the worst thing is I forgot it again.  I arrived back home in London, Beanieless, hence the inspiration behind this weeks Monday Musing.  I am well an truly on the beanie hunt, first stop, Ebay.

Midi Length Love

Well after all the lovely comments I received on my last indoor post I thought I'd have another blast at a bedroom shoot.  A quick slide across of the bed and voila a place to stand,  look at the floor and cross my legs all in the aid of this ole blog.  I am hating on the brown carpet a bit so a possible white fluffy rug purchase could be on the cards, just an idea just to get the pics looking that little bit more minimalist - payday where are you, I have a rug to buy!

This was the outfit I wore Saturday thanks to the PrettyLittleThing sale, I nabbed this long sheer top for £6.50 and, they even delivered on a Saturday even though I had paid for standard delivery!  Hey presto I had the perfect pub crawling outfit.

Monday Musings - Head Scarfs

So the other day I was shopping in Office on the hunt for some sale Vagabonds when in walked the coolest East London gal I have ever seen, typical Shoreditch cool - you know the type.  The main reason I got all stalker on her was because she was rocking one of my fave accessories, a hair turban, I have a ready made turban which I wore to LFW a couple of years back but it's not the 'do it yourself' scarf version like this babe was sporting.

Street style is one of the best things about living in London and working just off Brick Lane, the streets round that neck of the woods are brimming with stylish people, the minute I hop on the tube, step into the office or nip to Spitalfields on lunch I am soaking up outfit inspo.

So, back to the mega cool turban girl, she was also rocking a pair of ghetto gold hoops a signature Fashion Tatt jewelry staple, in my eyes this girl was god and thanks to her got me thinking about wearing what you love and embracing it whether it be a trend or not.

Thanks for inspo cool girl I hope to see you about the streets of Shoreditch sometime soon,
love from a weird, head scarf obsessed fashion victim xxx

Floral Jumper

Hey Hey lovelies, hope you all had a good weekend I am of course nursing the usual Sunday hangover with MacDonald's, Chinese and back to back films.  Perfect Sunday in my eyes.  So, today's post is an outfit I shot when I was back home over Christmas and totally forgot to post - I am wearing this bargain jumper that I picked up in the H&M sale for a mere £15, I thought it had a slight retro vibe and I loved the oversized fit.  I am such a fan of anything loose at the moment whilst I work on shedding the few pounds I put on over the festive period, one of them new years ressies I am working on!

Laters lovelies.
