70s Vibes

Sundays are for chilling, that's my motto, so that's exactly what I am doing today; me, my housemate's, the sofa and my fave blog reads - pretty perfect combo eh! I must admit it feels criminal to stay in on such a sunny day like today, however sometimes, you just gotta mack out in your sweats - you know what I mean?

In and amongst the macking out I thought I would finally get the outfit up that I wore to my best friends engagement party the other week...

This paisley flare and off the shoulder combo is the closest I have come to rocking the 70s trend, I am more of a 90's babe than 70s boho chick, but that's what I LOVE about fashion -experimenting with different styles, eras, trends and shapes whilst putting your own stamp on the whole look.

These Missguided Flares are super flattering and a great way to make those ole legs look that wee bit longer - hooray, and guess what, they are now down to £8 - hooray again!

Vans x Eley Kishimoto launch with ASOS #VansxEK

Oh hayyyy, Happy Friday lovelies!
So today's post is basically all about one of the best nights out I have had in London so far - and for that, I have the mighty ASOS to thank.

They recently invited me to celebrate the new Vans X Eley Kishimoto launch which is the ultimate design collaboration, for those of you that don't know, Eley Kishimoto is a London based design company forged in the 90s - they produce cool and eclectic prints making their collaboration with Vans an incredibly awesome design duo.

Carms and I headed up to Waterloo to the House of Vans which is where the event was held and met up with the mega-babe that is Charlotte from Crave Green Velvet and her lovely fella Jack who was the star of the night with his camera, snapping away.
We were actually invited to pop along a little earlier so we could have a sneak preview of the event and collection - pretty cool eh.

After being greeted by the lovely ladies at ASOS and treated to a cocktail (or 5 in mine and Carms case) we walked through the insane, underground space which is the perfect party setting. We oo-ed and ahhh-ed at the new collection and were asked to choose our very own pair from the range to dance the night away in - I went for the classic slip-on canvas plimsoles; comfort, classic with the added geometric coolness all in one shoe.

All the pics were taken on my Iphone so the quality isn't the best but to be fair after the cocktails set in and the prosecco started flowing I probably wouldn't have been the best photographer!

Anyway massive thanks to the wonderful ASOS I honestly had THE best time!
Now, go get involved with the new Vans Collection, you won't be disappointed.

Have a fab weekend.

Wednesday Wishlist - New Season Wants

I am so reds for a new season it's ridic, this up and down weather is driving me insane; one day it's boiling, the next it's blowing a gale and then, it all goes tits up and rains.  I am either a sweaty mess on the tube or worrying about whether my floaty A-line skirt is going to be wrapped around my head with the next gust of wind.

So, even though the weather is still a little confusing I thought what the hell, the new season is here and the September issues are soon to drop so lets get a little wish-list together of some of the things I might be buying (if I had any money that is)...

This is only the beginning of my lust-list as there are plenty more items I would love to add to my wardrobe - I just thought these were some good transitional pieces that would be a good place to start!

What are you guys lusting after?

Lifestyle: Borough Market

Hey, hey you lovely lot, hope you have all had a fabulous weekend!

This weekend marks my 1 year anniversary of living in London and I just can't believe how quickly it has flown past.  Without sounding like a total sap I feel truly blessed to have been lucky enough to have met some amazing people who have become firm pals for life.

London has SO much to do and see and moving here really was the best decision I have ever made, it has enabled me to live out my dreams and passions and who can argue with that!

So thank you London, you have my heart - here's to another year of friendship, laughs, hangovers and exploring.

A few weekends ago Carmen and I spent a Saturday mooching around Borough Market enjoying the tasty delights and guzzling on proseco and sangria!
Another perfect Saturday spent in London.

Rokit Vintage Round 2

Say hello to yet ANOTHER vintage outfit that I have added to my wardrobe courtesy of the very fabulous Rokit Vintage.

This lacy dress and waistcoat combo is a bit of a 90s dream; cute but not to girlie, the waistcoat adds an edge and the chunky platforms dress it up a tad - what do you think?  Loving my new Rokit Vintage looks?

Denim and Stripes

Hey Hey. The sun is finally shining in London - yay!
I am super excited about the impending weekend which I mentioned in my previous post,  soz for harping on again but it is my besties engagement party and I am the chief BM so I've got every right to be buzzing! I have also heard she's organised a pretty decent buffet to which, in my books is another excellent reason so get excited.  You'll find me and my crazy flares either propping up the bar or stuffing my face full of sausage rolls  - perfect night out.

Anyhoo enough of parties and food (basically all I talk about if you're a new visitor to ze ol blog) and onto the outfit. The denim button-up is quite a regular staple for me at the moment and as a big off the shoulder fan this top had to come home with me.

In my new role at Endource looking at clothes all day is part and parcel of the job (oh, poor me) which has only heightened the shopping addiction that I already had.
What I am trying to say is that yes I bought this whole outfit via Endource - see ya later paycheck.

Style by Portobello

Today has been a grey and miserable eughhh the perfect weather for a Monday.  Another joyful start to this week is that I am on a major healthy eating kick (FML) the reason being is that I have my best mates engagement party on Saturday and I am wearing some pretty crazy flares and a rather revealing cut-out top so need to be a waif A-SAP.  Let's be honest it's not going to happen is it, I love eating way to much and am out with the girls Wednesday which blates means PIZZA, FFS.  Anyway I am going to do my very best, wish me luck and keep your eyes peeled for the party outfit in question at some point next week!

Now, onto today's post featuring the rather lovely Style by Portobello

This is a subscription site where you sign up and once a month receive a box of vintage treats - pretty cool concept eh!  I was instantly intrigued when they got in touch and following some chatty emails my beautifully-presented subscription box arrived!
I was sent a scarf, a grey beaded necklace and a black and gold belt.  The perfect finishing touches adding a vintage-esque vibe to a high street outfit. Totes up my street.

Soz about the major close-up but it was the only way to get a good scarf shot plus look at that blurry background, got the ultimate 'blogger blur' going on there haven't I!

Anyway, I am signing off! Night guys, have a fabulous week.
